It is not certain whether Whisper 32 will work on Windows 11 as it depends on compatibility issues. It is recommended to check the developer's website for updates on compatibility or contact their support team for further inquiries.
Whisper 32 is an application developed by Shaun Ivory, designed to help you to manage passwords from different applications and services. The latest version of this application is Whisper 32 1.16 and it can run only on Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 98, Windows Me and Windows NT. It's not compatible with a 64-bit version of Windows.
The application will work on Windows 10 using compatibility settings and only on a 32bit version of Windows 10. If you try to run it on 64bit, it won't work properly and an error will be displayed instead.
To apply a compatibility tweak, right click the setup package and go to Properties > Compatibility. Choose a prior version of Windows and then run it again.
I have used Whisper 32 for a number of years. Since I use it at work, I have it password protected. Last week I went to open it, typed in my password, and it came up and told me that the password was incorrect. I thought maybe I just typed it too fast and hit a wrong key. I tried it again with the same result. I am now at the point where I can't get any of my passwords. I have probably close to 100 in there, so I am a little concerned if there is a way to reset a password. Does anyone have a suggestion or am I just out of luck?

No. The product doesn't have a recovery option for the password used to protect the data. Unfortunately, there is no information available regarding the case of a lost password. The only thing that you can do is to contact the developer on the following mailing address for further support: [email protected].

I have used Whisper 32 for years, but today something awful happened. I opened Whisper and all the passwords are gone - just the toolbar, I was quite sure that it does a backup, but where? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

The software required configuration in order to keep backups of the items added to its database. Backups can be configured through the View > Options > Backup. If the No backups option was checked, then you won't see any backups in the default folder where Whisper32 kept them (by default backups where stored in the default installation directory).
